Concurring with our design philosophy, every project at Flutec starts in our own engineering department. Based on our long time career, which includes accumulated experience in the field of HVAC systems, we readily provide all the engineering design required to meet the clients' needs on a case-by-case basis. In other words, Flutec offers a build to suit approach for every single project we undertake.

Through the years we have managed to acquire sufficient knowledge in the development of new and improved methods (know-how) and self-made technology at lower costs and higher quality standards. Thanks to our team of design engineers, we are able to provide all the necessary mechanical drawings, specifications, and shop drawings that will accommodate you and your company.

One notable example of our high quality engineering efforts is the recently finished design and construction of Lexmark's new Circuit Assembly Plant in Juarez, Mexico. Total production space for this facility is 190,000 sq. ft., which includes 12,000 sq. ft. of office and cafeteria space. In its initial stages, the project plan had involved a total of 42,000 sq. ft. of cleanroom class 1,000. The design specifications called for 150 air changes and 100% filtered cover ceiling system. Temperature in certain areas of the cleanroom did not allow the system to vary more than one degree F, and humidity had to be controlled within +/- 3%. The ceiling system in the cleanroom had to be walkable in order to allow piping process and exhaust systems to be introduced from the top of the cleanroom ceiling at any time. Our team designed and specified the mechanical room, air handling equipment, and make up air system which incorporated the evaporative humidification and the dehumdification system. Flutec also designed, purchased, and assembled the materials to be used for the cleanroom construction, including the ceiling grid, filters, lighting, and wall system. Finally we provided a complete design (and build) of the building energy management controls for the entire facility. The project was finished 30 days ahead of schedule with all cleanrooms NEBB certified.
